 Why Maintenance & SEO Are Mandatory, Not Optional

A website that isn't maintained becomes a liability: plugins go unpatched, security holes open up, and uptime slips. A website that isn't actively optimized for search doesn't get found. Path n Way Marketing does not sell “build it and walk away” websites — every client is bundled into a maintenance plan and an SEO retainer at signing, scaled to their tier, so the investment in the build actually pays off. This is standard across the industry for agency-grade delivery and is built into every proposal we send

Every tier is built on the same fixed foundation. These are the industry-specific components layered into the Silver and Gold builds depending on your business:

• Home Services: service-area landing pages per city/zip, before-and-after project galleries, emergency “call now” sticky CTA.

  
  

• eCommerce: product catalog setup, payment gateway integration, abandoned-cart email flow (Gold).

  
  

• Professional Services: appointment/consult booking, case-study and testimonial pages, gated resource downloads.

  
  

• Healthcare: HIPAA-conscious contact and intake forms, patient-portal link integration, ADA-accessible design.

  
  

• Real Estate: IDX/MLS listing feed, property search, buyer-lead capture and agent routing.

• Pricing is fixed per tier. There is no discounting or unbundling of the maintenance plan or SEO retainer — both are mandatory components of every engagement, for every niche. PWM, though, will consider negotiating the SEO retainer as part of a management review and approval process.

  
  

• One-Time Production Fee: 50% deposit due at signing to begin work; remaining 50% due before the site goes live.

  
  

• Monthly Maintenance and SEO Retainer begin the month of launch and are billed in advance via autopay.

  
  

• SEO Retainer requires a 6-month minimum commitment — meaningful ranking movement takes time, and month-to-month churn produces no results for either party.

  
  

• Maintenance is required for the life of the site. Canceling maintenance means Path n Way Marketing can no longer guarantee uptime, security, or support — hosting and support are suspended.

  
  

• Tier upgrades are available at any time. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal date, not mid-cycle.

  
  

• Accounts more than 5 days past due are paused until payment is current.

  
  

• Add-ons outside a tier's scope (rush delivery, extra pages, product uploads beyond plan limits, custom integrations) are quoted and priced separately — they do not change the fixed tier price.
